Synthesis and Modeling Project PI Meeting
July 12-16, 1999
Keystone, Colorado

FORMAT
This agenda is designed to facilitate interaction within and between the eight SMP working groups.  Based on this objective, and on feedback from our original agenda, we dediced to replace formal scientific talks with (a) 3-4 dual-speaker talks, each representing a working group's interaction or progress, and (b) 5-minute presentations by a representative from each project.  Because SMP is still growing, and because interaction between SMP PIs is essential to the success of the Project, we feel this is the best format for facilitating interaction between these highly interdisciplinary groups.  These talks are not intended to replace the posters, and indeed the posters should allow each PI to expand on his/her brief oral presentation.  We have arranged for each working group to meet twice, for a total of 6-7 hours.
