E-mail Announcements Subject: Minority Program Greetings! I am excited to be able to send you the Program Announcement for
the 2002-2003 Minorities Striving and Pursuing Higher Degrees of
Success Program (MS and PHDS Program). The overall goal of the MS
and PHDS Program is to provide mentoring experiences that promote
the retention and advancement of underrepresented minority students
interested in pursuing earth system science careers. The 2002-2003 program will be held from May 4-10, 2003 in Washington, D.C. as part of the Final Joint Global Ocean Flux's Open Ocean Science Meeting. This year's program science theme is ocean biogeochemistry. All students interested in earth system sciences are encouraged to apply! The 2002-2003 MS and PHDS Program Application Deadline is November 1st. Additional information and application material can be found at http://msphds.eas.gatech.edu.
