POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER (Position 005-525). The College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences (COAS) at Oregon State University (OSU) invites applications for a full-time, fixed term, Research Associate (Postdoctoral) position. The successful applicant will analyze and model satellite-borne active and passive microwave measurements over the ocean, as part of a NASA-funded project led by COAS Prof. Michael Freilich. Initial work will focus on characterizing small-scale surface wind variability and its impacts on measurement retrievals and air-sea interaction processes. The successful applicant will have significant latitude to define future analyses. Required qualifications: PhD in physical oceanography, meteorology, or a related field completed by 1/1/03; strong physical and statistical data analysis skills; ability to work independently; and proficiency in written and spoken English. Experience in analyzing microwave satellite remote sensing data is desired. Salary: $38,000-$41,004.
