Subject: Faculty Position in Chemical Oceanography at the University of Washington

The School of Oceanography at the University of Washington invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Chemical Oceanography. We seek an organic geochemist who studies organic matter cycling in the ocean and/or in the coupled ocean-terrestrial-atmospheric system. Persons who use specific organic compounds as tracers of carbon cycling processes are especially encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. degree is required by the date of appointment. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, to advise graduate students and to conduct independent research. Applicants should send both printed and electronic copies of their curriculum vitae, a statement of research and teaching interests, a list of publications, recent reprints, and the names of four references to:
