The Institut für Meereskunde at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität of Kiel invites applications for a Full Professorship (C4) of Marine Biogeochemical Modelling in the research division "Marine Biogeochemistry". The position is to be filled as soon as possible. Applications are invited from internationally recognised scientists working in the area of modelling of biogeochemical cycles and processes in the ocean. Applicants should have the following qualifications:
· Experience in the modelling of biogeochemical fluxes with special emphasis on key organisms and processes in the plankton and the influence of chemical and physical factors on marine biogeochemistry.
· Proven ability to pursue interdisciplinary research.
· Teaching experience in the area of marine science.
The degree of "Habilitation" is normally required, but can be compensated for by equivalent qualification and experience. The Christian-Albrechts-Universität of Kiel seeks to increase the number of women on its faculty and encourages qualified women to apply.
