Our research group is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join a multidisciplinary team attempting to understand the links between biology and physics in the the Strait of Georgia on Canada's west coast. This research focuses on understanding how seasonal and interannual variability in physical forcing contributes to changes in ecosystem structure and productivity. The person we seek will have primary responsibility for coupled-bio-physical modelling and will play a leadership role in the whole project (modelling, data analysis and field observations). The successful candidate should have a doctorate in oceanography or a related field. Experience in ecosystem modelling and/or multidisciplinary oceanography would be an asset. This is a two year position. Salary will be 32-38 k depending on experience. Review of submissions will begin on Feb 22, 2002 and continue until the position is filled.
