POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN OCEAN SCIENCES AT PENN STATE
The
Department of Geosciences at Penn State seeks applications for a
postdoctoral fellowship. The ideal candidate will be a scientist
with broad interests in the oceanic aspects of (i) the carbon cycle,
(ii) the detection of anthropogenic changes, and (iii) carbon sequestration.
The successful candidate will apply and develop biogeochemical models
and will also be encouraged to pursue independent research on related
questions. Familiarity with the analysis of large oceanographic
data sets would be an advantage. The successful applicant will work
with an interdisciplinary team and should also be interested in
the economic aspects of the problem. The project is directed by
Klaus Keller (at Penn State) in collaboration with David Bradford
(at Princeton University). Applicants should have a Ph.D. in geosciences
or a related field.
