MEMBER OF TECHNICAL STAFF
An
opening is available at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), a division
of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). You will collaborate
with Principal Investigators on research of the ocean carbon cycle
by processing large data sets from satellite observations and in-situ
data collections. You will also evaluate model and data products,
implement numerical models of biogeochemical processes, and establish
and maintain web-based data information systems. The qualified candidate
will have an MA/MS (PhD preferred) in Oceanography, Meteorology,
Biology, Geochemistry, Physics or a related field, with at least
1 year of experience in statistical analysis and the interpretation
and visualization of large data sets and numerical simulations of
biogeochemical or fluid dynamical systems. Must have a programming
background in Matlab and FORTRAN. Proficiency with C or IDL is appreciated.
Exposure to SeaDAS and/or computer simulations of marine biogeochemical
