Subject: Faculty Position in Biological Oceanography at the University of Washington

The School of Oceanography at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position in biological oceanography. Appointment is anticipated at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR rank, but candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered for appointment at the rank of ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR or PROFESSOR.

We seek a person whose research integrates biochemical, physiological and/or molecular approaches to understand the distribution and abundance of functional groups of phytoplankton important to oceanic biogeochemical processes.

Ph.D. degree is required by the date of appointment. Candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
