Subject: Chemical Oceanography/Marine Chemistry

We are seeking to fill an open faculty position in our Division, preferably at the assistant and/or associate rank. The hire can be field/laboratory based or remote sensing and/or modeling focused. The Division of Marine and Atmospheric Chemistry at the Rosenstiel School includes faculty who carry out research on topics such as: rates of ocean processes and their influence on climate, using anthropogenic and naturally occurring geochemical tracers; atmospheric and marine photochemistry; physical chemistry of natural waters including the CO2 system; atmospheric trace gas chemistry, air/sea exchange; aerosol chemistry and global atmospheric transport; marine biogeochemistry. Ph.D. in chemistry, marine geochemistry, oceanography or related field is required. The selection will be based on the potential for scientific excellence as well as the ability to complement Division and School strategic plans. The successful candidates will be expected to develop an externally funded research program.
