Subject: Special session at the TOS meeting in Hawaii in February 2004:
We would be grateful to have a wide range of abstracts to be submitted by the October 1st deadline.

Proposed Title: The role of Bermuda based studies in our understanding of ocean and atmospheric processes

2003 is the 100th year of the Bermuda Biological Station for Research, Inc. and we would like to focus on the history and scientific achievements that have been carried out in this part of the Atlantic from the early discovery of the deep ocean of Beebe to the achievements of various time series programs, process cruises and atmospheric discoveries. BBSR is 100 year old, Station S is 50 years old, OFP is 25 years and BTM is 10 years. We hope that the community will support a lively session.
