Subject: Columbia University/Center for Climate Systems Research Job Opening

Columbia University/Center for Climate Systems Research seeks an individual to design, develop, and oversee computing system configurations and software in support of the CCSR climate modeling effort, specifically to work on carbon cycle and climate change issues; integrating in-house diagnostic applications for use in analyzing GCM output; maintain and improve upon existing systems and software; perform research, testing, and evaluation of potential new configurations and software; perform other related duties as requested.  

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Earth Science, or equivalent. Two years related experience required. Experience with Unix systems and Fortran required. Some experience with parallel computing environments (MPI/OpenMP) helpful.
