Post-doctoral Position / IOC-UNESCO.
The Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO invites
applications for a post-doctoral position to serve as a project
coordinator for the International Ocean Carbon Coordination Project
(www.ioccp.org). The IOCCP provides a communication and coordination
service for the international ocean carbon community to facilitate
the development of a global network of ocean carbon observations.
Duties include developing and maintaining on-line compilations of
ocean carbon observation and research activities, developing and
implementing targeted workshops to enhance coordination of activities,
and facilitating data product development. The fellowship will be
for a period of 1 year with possibility of renewal. Applicants should
have a Ph.D. in oceanography with an emphasis on the ocean carbon
cycle. Candidates must have experience with web and graphics design,
and be fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of French
desirable. The fellow will be employed as a UNESCO-IOC Consultant,
and will be located at the IOCCP office at UNESCO headquarters in
Paris. The salary is $42,000 US dollars per year. Applicants should
