Postdoctoral Fellowships in Climate Modeling

Postdoctoral Fellowships in Climate Modeling Potsdam Institute for
Climate Impact Research (PIK) Open immediately: The Climate System
department at PIK seeks two motivated postdoctoral fellows to study
mechamisms of abrupt climate change by numerical simulations with
our Earth System Models. One fellowship will focus on the stability
of Southern Ocean circulation, the other on the role of ice shelves
in abrupt climate changes. Applicants should have a strong background
in climate modeling and enjoy working in an international and interdisciplinary
team. Working language is English. The positions are for one year
initially and renewable for up to three years based upon performance;
renumeration is according to the BAT-O IIa scale. The institute
is in a beautiful setting in Potsdam on the outskirts of Berlin.
