Research Associate/Atmospheric modeling/Rutgers University
The Institute of Marine and Coastal Sciences at Rutgers University
invites applications for a post-doctoral research scientist to work
in the area of dust modeling including characterization of dust
emissions from newly developed dust sources such as those in Asia.
The successful candidate will participate in a NASA-funded Interdisciplinary
Studies project investigating land-atmosphere-ocean biosphere interactions.
Minimum requirements include a recent Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences
or a closely related area, a background in mathematical modeling
and experience in empirical analysis. The candidate must be self-motivated,
capable of working independently and within an interdisciplinary
team. Salary will be commensurate with experience. The appointment
is a one-year term, with possibility for the second year depending
on the performance. Review of applications will begin September
1, 2004, and will continue until the position is filled. Please
