Instructions for Downloading Sediment Trap Data

The entire global sediment trap data set, which includes
annual and time-series flux data from all trap locations, is available for
download. Click here
to download the data packaged into a single .tar file.
To unpack the data files after download:
- Copy the downloaded file to a subdirectory into which the files can be unpacked.
- Issue this command on most unix/linux systems (or variant for your OS):
tar -xvf USJGOFS_SMP_sed_traps.tar
The archive includes these files:
- sed_traps_ann_flux.dat which is all of the annual flux sediment trap data (~ 25 MB)
- sed_traps_ts_flux.dat which is all of the time-series flux sediment trap data
