Process 3 Cruise Reports 4/04/97 - 5/12/97

Antarctic Environment and Southern Ocean Process Study

From Hugh Ducklow, Chief Scientist:

And from Bob Anderson, this note dated May 8, 1997:

Congratulations on your successful completion of Process-III, under conditions that anyone would consider extreme. Thanks, too, to all the participants in the AESOPS Ross Sea Process cruises, for generating unprecedented seasonal coverage of biogeochemical processes, and a set of results that will vastly improve our understanding of carbon cycling in remote Antarctic continental shelf ecosystems.

best wishes,
